Cherie Hemmingsen followed her "obsession" with glass blowing after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She decided to get on with the rest of her life and blow glass. Glass blowing is the best medicine of all. Cherie works hard to stay healthy and most of all have fun in the Hot Shop.

Cherie attended Pacific Northwest School of the Arts, Red Deer College, Firehouse #12 and had many lessons from well known glass blowers. She now imports instructors to give classes in her studio. Cherie is the first (and likely last) woman ever to blow glass at Waterford Crystal. She blew/ruined a $2000 piece, therefore the studio name "i blew it"!
Bob
Bob McLeod took up glass blowing after watching a TV program of famous glass blowers; He just had to do it!  He showed up on Cherie’s doorstep and has been blowing ever since.

Bob has taken classes in Red Deer, Alberta. He was  the recipient of a scholarship from the BC Glass Artists Association in 2007. Bob continues to work out of Cherie’s studio and has had lessons there from Lisa Cerny and David Schwarz. He also worked with Benjamin Kikkert.
